Basic Information

RSS (an abbreviation for Really Simple Syndication) is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated web works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video—in a standardized format. An RSS document (which is called a "feed", "web feed", or "channel") includes full or summarized text, plus metadata such as publishing dates, authorship and links.

Web feeds benefit readers who want to subscribe to timely updates from favored websites or to aggregate feeds from many sites into one place. RSS feeds can be read using software called an "RSS reader", "feed reader", or "aggregator", which can be web-based, desktop-based, or mobile-device-based. Also a user can subscribe via email to receive their RSS feed by email.

The user subscribes to a feed by entering the feed's URI (often referred to informally as a "URL" (uniform resource locater), although technically the two terms are not exactly synonymous) into the reader or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser that initiates the subscription process. The RSS reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new work, downloads any updates that it finds, and provides a user interface to monitor and read the feeds. Podcasts

A podcast (not to be confused or equated with Apple Inc's iPod) usually consists of a combination of audio and/or video that is made available for download via syndication (RSS Feed). It is this syndication aspect of the delivery that separates a podcast from a file available for download. The files are usually retrieved with software applications (generically known as podcatchers) so that subscribers can listen at their convenience on devices that have intermittent, slow, or are otherwise lacking Internet access. The podcatcher reads an [RSS] feed (whose entries point to specific podcasts, usually sorted by date) to identify and retrieve the podcast.

Like the term broadcast, podcast can refer either to the content itself or to the method by which the content is syndicated; the latter is also called podcasting. A podcaster is the person who creates the content.

A podcast is syndicated via an RSS feed. This feed enables distribution over the Internet by syndicated download. Though the same content may also be made available by direct download or streaming, a podcast is distinguished from most other digital media formats by its ability to be syndicated, subscribed to, and downloaded automatically when new content is added. Easy To Use:

The easiest way to receive our feeds is to subscribe via Email, you will see a link for this option where ever you find one of our feeds. Should you want to use a feed reader we have put easy subscribe buttons with our feeds that look like this If you click on this button next to a feed you will be taken to our subscribe page which offers add links for many of the major feed readers. Scroll down a bit and you'll see what is in our feed currently.

If you only require the URL to our feed for use in your current reader, simply mouse over our feed link to view the URL, right mouse click our feed link and select Copy Link for easy pasting into your feed reader.

Many of the readers will allow you to set the interval that the software will look for a feed update others simply update daily.

For any of our feeds you will only need to update once or twice a week at most.
