What We Believe
The Bible is the inspired word of God. It is a revelation from God to man of His
character, nature, and will. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12)
There is one true God, triune in nature, comprised of three separate and distinct
personalities, The Father, The Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit, existing as one,
singular Entity, perfect, holy and eternal. (John 1:1-5, 10-14; Matthew 28:18-20)
Man was created good, upright and holy, but because of Adam's transgression against
God, the sin nature and spiritual death have been passed on to all humanity. Man's only
hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (Genesis1:26-31, 3:1-7; Romans
5:12-21; John 3:3 & 16;)
Salvation and redemption only come through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Man can
only receive this salvation and redemption through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ
as Lord and Savior. (Romans 3:24; John 3:3, 16; Romans 10:8-10; Ephesians 2:8)
The ordinance of water baptism is a vitally important aspect of a Christian's life
and is a part of what Jesus commanded that believers observe. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Acts 10:47-48)
Communion (the Lord's Supper) is to be practiced in recognition of Jesus' sacrifice
for us. (1 Corinthians 11:24-26)
All Christians are entitled to, and should earnestly seek, the Promise of the Father,
the Baptism in the Holy Spirit according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ (Luke
24:49; Acts 1:4-5; Acts 2:38). With this Baptism comes the endowment of power for life and
service, the bestowment of the Gifts of the Spirit and their uses in the work of the
ministry (Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11). This wonderful experience is distinct from and
subsequent to the experience of the new birth. (Acts 2:38; 10:44-46; 11:14-16)
Divine healing is provided through the sacrificial work of Jesus Christ and is
appropriated by faith in Jesus and the work He has completed. (1 Peter 2:24; Matthew
8:16-17; Isaiah 53:4-5)
All Christians have been commissioned by Jesus to continue the work He began on earth.
(John 14:12; Mark 16:17-18)
The true Church is comprised of everyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and
Savior. Each member of the Church has a specific and unique call of God for service
and ministry to the body of Christ and for reaching the lost. (Ephesians 1:17-23; 2:19-22;
4:7-12; 1 Corinthians 12:12-28)
Jesus is coming again to gather all His Saints to be with Him forever.
(1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
Those who have rejected the redemptive work of Jesus Christ will suffer eternal
separation from the Godhead. The devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet,
and anyone whose name is not found written in the Book of Life, shall be consigned to
everlasting punishment in the lake of fire. This is the second death. (Revelation 19:20;
20:1-5)
